Us Weekly has reported that the King of Pop’s little sister Janet Jackson may have waved goodbye to "long time boyfriend of almost seven years". Jermaine Dupri who is also a music executive and recording artist was once a go to guy if you were desperately in need of a hit song. The two met in an attempt to elevate the R&B/POP singer's career to new heights but instead a business atmosphere was soon mixed with pleasure seemingly transforming their union into an entertainment power couple. Jermaine had been contracted to help produce Janets' most recent albums but sources claimed that his failure to render a hit song with the critically acclaimed sister of pop put a wet blanket over their very reclusive relationship.

 
Yahoo Entertainment also reported that Sources confirmed to US Weekly that the couple "have been moving in different directions for a while." Jermaine was conspicuously absent at the star-studded memorial service for Janet's aforementioned brother Michael, and a source quoted another Janet friend as her saying "You shouldn't mix business with pleasure". Janet felt their lives were too crossed [Jermaine had produced some of Janet's music] and they should have kept things separate."
