"MY BOOK OF CHRYMES" is about some of FREDDY WILL's encounters before, during and after the civil wars in Liberia and the hurtling slum like ghetto life he lived in Sierra Leone. A second 1992 civil war brought more terror, death and torture to many and 'MY BOOK OF CHRYMES' details his refugee experiences in crocodile estates like The Gambia and also in the Woolof and French lands of Dakar, Senegal in West Africa.
The chronicles in the book and album reveals a connection bewteen FREDDY WILL'S life experiences and his music and it gives commentary on how certain songs came to be written. Most of the songs on his debut album were written during a time of war or while he lived on refugee status at different times during a despairing period of time in West Africa. It compares his encounters with tribalism in AFRICA to his experiences with racism in the United States, connecting it to his inevitable plunge into the streets of New Jersey where he relived several old experiences at the same time as he was learning new lessons.

With his worst days behind him and a new sun in the horizon, FREDDY WILL ventures to begin living a new life of prosperity and providence while educating all who wish to learn about the woes of the tormoils he has seen. As a rapper who has had his share of street credibility from rubber plantations and red dirt roads in Liberia to the lonely ghetto slums of Bo and Freetown, Sierra Leone, through the edges of refugee communities in the Gambia and Senegal doing whatever it took to hustle and survive in the mid to late 90's. As an author, Wilfred Kanu Jr. aspires to walk in the shadows of the likes of great storytellers like William Shakespeare and John Grisham.
