In 2008 I released my debut album through my independent record label, Ghetto Breed Entertainment. This was my labels first album release and at the time even though I'm from New Jersey, USA, since I had recorded the album in Canada with the help of a majority of Canadian producers, engineers, background singers and featured artists, the decision was made to promote and distribute the album in Canada.

Ghetto Breed Entertainment hired a Toronto based independent label known as Soulkiss Entertainment to promote and distribute the album in Canada.
This was because Soulkiss Entertainment produced some documents that illuded to their claim of being distributed nationally in Canada through DEP and Universal Music Canada. However, Soulkiss Entertainment
squandered all of Ghetto Breed Entertainments' budget and proved totally incapable of promoting or distributing the album outside of the internet. According to Brian La Roche, CEO of Soulkiss Entertainment, the album was going to be "nationally distributed physically in music stores stores like HMV and Music World in Canada".

National distribution must mean the HMV store at Dundas St. and Young St in Toronto because Mr. La Roche the
Soul Kiss Entertainment
CEO was only connected to that store through a third and fourth party and he turned out to be very untrustworthy when it came time to deliver on his contract. His marketing, promotion and distribution contract largely implicated Universal Music Canada along with dep as parties who would benefit from sales of the album but the album was never distributed physically in stores as contracted. All queries were met with false elaborate promises which Brian La Roche used to mislead Ghetto Breed Entertainment into believing that the album will be distributed national in Canada. However, Mr. La Roche was able to supply the album to some college radio stations across Canada and place an ad in Urbanology mag at an exorbitant expense to Ghetto Breed ENT.

The album went on to chart at # 1 in some college radio stations in Canada  lasting up to three weeks at a time. Brian La Roche attempted to sell the album secretly on CDBabay while misleading Ghetto Breed Entertainment to believe that Universal Music Canada and dep selling the album at iTunes and Amazon on behalf of Soulkiss Entertainment. He did not pay any of the 70% of royalty payment which the contract stipulated as Ghetto Breed Entertainments' earnings from the album. He never presented Ghetto Breed Entertainment with with sales invoices, or shipping records of albums sold and was complectly nonchalant to any scrutiny from Ghetto Breed Entertainment. In fact, after Mr. La Roche received the ten thousand dollars payment from Ghetto Breed Entertainment he immediately went out and changed his crappy cell phone for a brand new blackberry and took one of his girlfriends on vacation.

These actions fully breached his contract with GBE and after his failed Soulkiss ENT effort, the decision was made by GBE to sever the agreement. From then on Ghetto Breed Entertainment went into damage control mode as we had spent additional funds counting in thousands to promote the album and launch it.  More money had to be pumped into the promotion and distribution of the album which was now solely Ghetto Breed Entertainments' problem. Up until this day Soulkiss Entertainment still owes Ghetto Breed Entertainment for moneys it squandered as well as royalties from selling of the album on the internet. After Ghetto Breed Entertainment terminated their arrangement with Soulkiss Entertainment, Soulkiss Entertainment continued to sell the album on the internet secretly.

The album featured the hit singles City Boy, Animal, Strangers and How Would I Know feat. Jay NY. It later went on to sell a 4000 physical units independently after SOULKISS ENT was canned. The album was well received throughout the tri-states in the United States, some parts of England and West Africa during the months that came after Freddy Will  (CEO of Ghetto Breed Entertainment) gave Soulkiss Entertainment the boot. To date, the album has sold close to 7000 hard copies physically and digitally. .

It is currently available at the
Freddy Will Jamroom, Amazon, Rhapsody and CD Baby for downloads plus a limited supply of the physical CDs (with Universal Music Canada logo paid for by Ghetto Breed Entertainment) which are now a collectors item, can be shipped out for $11. 99 plus shipping and handling if you contact our reps at Double K Records or Ghetto Breed Dist
