Los Angeles, Califonia, USA – February 13, 2011, Tonight was music’s biggest night as we celebrate the 2010 Grammy Awards. Freddy Will Industries Congratulates Julie Andrews and Emma Walton Hamilton on their Grammy wins for “Best Spoken Word Album for Children” which their CD “Julie Andrews’ Collection of Poems, Songs and Lullabies album” garnered tonight. And as a revered music and theater legend for over five decades she also took home a Lifetime Achievement Award.

Julie Andrews is a well-known singer, actress and author from the United Kingdom who is a celebrated recipient of several awards including; Golden Globe, Theater World Award, BAFTA, Emmy and Grammy Awards, People’s Choice Award, Screen Actors Guild, Academy Award, etc. Andrews began her career as a child actress and singer and made her New York, Broadway debut in 1954 with “The Boy Friend.” She rose to notoriety soon after and stared in other musicals such as “My Fair Lady” and “Camelot” (1954) and in the musical films “Mary Poppins” (1964) and “The Sound Of Music” (1965): roles for which she is still best-known.

Hopes for a Grammy win were not realized with the “Healthy Foods For Thought: Good Enough To Eat” album but I still made history by remaining the only Sierra Leonean born artist to be nominated for a Grammy award thus far. The New York Coalition For Healthy School Foods’ CD was a compilation of musical and spoken word performances on which I (Freddy Will) had performed the track,‘Future’. Other notable artists such as Moby, Julian Lennon, Jessica Harper, Amy Otey, Ken Cowle, Sara Hickman, Tom Chapin, Russell Simmons as well as several heavyweight kinds of music, radio and spoken word personalities were featured on this double CD album.

A special congratulations also go out to all the producers at East Coast Recording Company – Jim Cravero, Paula Lizzi, Steve Pullara and Kevin Mackie and ALL the artists who participated in the ‘Healthy Food for Thought: Good Enough to Eat’ album for the collective efforts that garnered us this 2010/2011 Grammy nomination. We wish everyone better luck next time! The funds from the sales of this album go directly to the New York Coalition for Healthy School Foods (NYCHSF) to support initiatives for childhood Type-2 diabetes and childhood obesity. Please be sure to help this cause.*
