I can tell you, until it knocks on your door, you will never realize how catastrophic it is. Especially for those who have to spring into action.”

What would you do if you saw a pregnant woman by the side of the road? She is curled up on her knees, in excruciating pain, vomiting and dying? Is it easy to find intelligent answers on how to protect yourself from an unsuspecting touch? Particularly in a community that is wary of Ebola, I ask you to pray that fate does not face you. So you will never get to experience how difficult it is to walk away from someone who is dying. I can tell you one thing for sure, in times of disaster a well-disciplined man never thinks about himself.

I can tell you one thing for sure, in times of tragedy a well disciplined man never thinks about himself.”

Ebola has already killed many good Samaritans. Most of its victims are everyday men and women who came to the aid of someone. Like I’ve said earlier, it is easy to cast West Africa aside. That is because you’ve heard Ebola came from them eating rodents. Or from being docile with infected monkeys. All I can tell you is until it knocks on your door, you will never realize how catastrophic it is. Those have to spring into action. Think about your beloved child, your loving parent, or relative. Imagine what it is like to wake up to a nightmare. And it’s so grim that society blames you for being the scapegoat.

Would you not lie if you must? If there was hope that someone will take you to a country that has the treatment facilities?”

Much of the time, women complain that there are no good men. Our society is spoiled. Many people fail to realize how good they’ve got it. Countless women are surrounded by support every day. The guy who holds the door. The one who gives money. One with the corny jokes. The one who risked his life to shoot off a stalker. The guy who gave up his seat for an old lady. Or the one who helped that mother get her baby stroller up the stairs of a streetcar. Of course, men assess situations. Reasonable men can tell when a woman is okay. Men know when to be remiss on the couch or snub that crap filled diaper on the baby.

Yet I can assure you when push comes to shove a disciplined man will always take action. What will you do if you have contracted a disease that many people died from? And you are in a country where everyone believes your chances are slim? Would you not lie if you must? It there was hope that someone will take you to a nation that has treatment facilities? You are a human being. You want to survive. Your instinct is not only to survive, but it is also to help others to survive. Yet, when your life is on the line, and you’ve watched others die of the same thing, what would you not do for a chance to live?

So, if Liberia, Sierra Leone and Guinea were so backward, how come three thousand Ebola patients were cured of the disease?”

What the media is not reporting is that, in Liberia, Guinea, and Sierra Leone, {Romarong}the Ebola virus has infected more than six thousand people. Yes, more than half of those people have died. And then of the same six thousand, another two thousand plus have survived. You do not hear this in the news. All you hear is, Ebola is in town. It is a fatal disease. The chance of survival is slim. Do not touch anyone. Do not attend funerals. Avoid all public event, including sports, concerts, school, work or even your church, mosque, synagogue or temple!

So, if Liberia, Sierra Leone, and Guinea are so regressive, how come they cured two thousand plus people? Of course, if there were better facilities for healthcare in these countries, the mortality rate would have been much less. We all regret the death of those who succumbed to the virus. However, it is very commendable that even with little to no assistance from the international community, a significant number of people have walked out of quarantine zones with an all-clear Doctors Without Borders certificate. *

  3. Today, both Cao Zhi’s poem about cooking beans and the idiom “(xiang1 jian1 tai4 ji2)” are often used to describe fratricide or struggles among blood relatives.

  4. Dr. Patrick Warnke of Bond University in Australia said not all patients may have this regenerative capacity — especially the elderly. Previously, French husbands and wives often had to wait for years to escape a marriage if they could not prove that their spouse was misbehaving or mistreating them. Hundreds of millions of dollars have been spent on the X-37 program, but the total has not been released. Andy Murray, the only British singles player left in the tournament in a year of exceptionally poor showings by the host country, was probably under the most pressure to prepare. The last time the queen visited, in 1977, she presented Virginia Wade with the ladies’ singles championship. No Briton has won a singles title since.
The Bulls missed countless layups and got outshot 47.1 percent to 34.1 percent. They were just 3 of 20 on 3-pointers and 16 of 26 at the foul line while getting beat on the glass.
