Hiphop KruZade [crusade] stimulates a cultural awareness that adorns a true Hiphoppa with unblemished portrayals that refute the most common misconceptions of this Kulture. It does not only define the Kulture [culture], it identifies its nature. This book examines the thought process behind a mainstream influenced reluctance to recognize the essence of Hip Hop. It emphasizes a call for unity among Hiphoppas.

Concept

If you surmise the socio-economic circumstances that inspired this Kulture, you will become aware of what bastardized the music. You may use this book to teach others who the mainstream has misled through the media, copycats or acquisitive corporations. If you are new to the Kulture, this book can be your opportunity to learn everything correctly. To become aware of the driving forces behind the experience and lifestyle of a Hiphoppa. To ascertain the value of this culture we “live Hiphop to manifest Hip Hop.”

Some historians have documented that during slavery the slavers revered the Kru people as a tribe that staged violent standoffs against capture.”

I gathered the phrase “KruZade,” [meaning crusade], from the words – “Kru” and ‘Zade.” Kru represents the name of a West African tribe known as, “the Kru people of Liberia and Ivory Coast.” I chose to use this name to epitomize the zealous nature of these people. The reason being, the spirit of Hip Hop originated from Africa. Many Africans make the mistake of considering Hip Hop as a western invention as opposed to an African one. Except, African Americans developed this Kulture and a Jamaican concocted the original beat pattern.

The Book

Some historians have documented that during slavery the slavers revered the Kru people as a tribe that staged violent standoffs against capture. As legend has it, Kru slaves were the cheapest sold because of their blatant insubordination. Often, Krus would attack slave masters, plot their escape or commit suicide to evade a life of slavery. It is this conscious attitude that I bring to Hip Hop via this book.

The word “Zade” describes someone or something that is remarkably exceptional in banter. I chose this word to outline the nature of Hiphop’s traditional elements of Knowledge, Deejay, Graffiti Art, Break-dance, and the Emcee. These ingredients also consist of a trend of fashion, language, and independent entrepreneurship. The mainstream media has not portrayed these attributes of this Kulture in their proper light. The reason can be because of this highly influential Kulture’s direct lineage to Africa. And yet, this music, theater, literary and fashion has produced a lifetime of artistic masterpieces which mainstream corporations yearn to exploit for financial gain.

The Album

I planned to release this book in a BOOK + CD installment sometime in 2014. I entitled the accompanying CD “Laboramus Exspectantes Vol. 1.” What I named it is the motto of one of my alma meta. It illustrates the different passageways to the diversity of our tradition, culture, and creed as Africans. At a time when the art has become widely popular and often misrepresented by the wrong people, I wrote this book to give my fans a clearer perspective of things. Hiphop KruZade is a prefatory case study of black Kulture.

To the students of Hiphop, it moves to ingrain our traditions by making a case for a path towards central leadership. And by that, I’m referring to an administration that is recognized and appreciated by all in Hiphop. The goal is to stand outside of all prejudice and build a unique tradition and reputation among of our people. Hiphop KruZade emphasizes the importance of the true essence of African creed. This book denounces all accusations of racism, misogyny, homophobia, materialism, anarchy, disunity and many other misconceptions. It brings the subject of religion to the forefront of our discussions. I wrote it by the teachings of KRS-ONE [Temple of Hip Hop]. *

  1. That is really attention-grabbing, You’re an excessively professional blogger. I’ve joined your rss feed and look ahead to looking for more of your wonderful post. Also, I have shared your web site in my social networks

  2. This is some good quality material. It took me a while to find this blog but it was worth the time. I noticed this page was buried in bing and not the first spot. This webpage has a lot of fine stuff and it does not deserve to be burried in the search engines like that. By the way Im going to save this blog to my favorites.
