Law Enforcement & the Possibility of Accountable Policing

We have so much concern for our police that even the thought of anyone killing one in cold blood turns my stomach. Remember, it is not the cops who get murdered in cold blood. It’s unarmed black men. God forbid if cops were the targets, we know they would launch a ravenous manhunt for the assassin. Is it time to get off their high horse and acknowledge that they work for us. Get over it, Mr. Officers, enough is enough. The public is not kissing your ass anymore. This is a situation where the public has protested harmoniously against the police’s tenacious abuse of power. And yet, they claim to be the ones who do not feel safe? The gig is up, man. Stop killing people. We are not saying we don’t appreciate cops. We are saying cops should not be murderers.

Why is it so difficult to communicate to police unions and the supreme courts, that our lives are not expendable?

Good cops who keep quiet and protect corrupt cops are just as bad. We are saying that we are respectable people, we do not want to sit on the floor or lay on the ground at your command. There are people who love and care for us. We are not animals. You can’t just open fire on us as if your lives are more important than ours. Why is it so difficult to communicate to police unions and the supreme courts, that our lives are not expendable? If you are too afraid to do your job, just hand the gun and the badge back in, and we will hire the people who want to do the job respectfully. And that’s just it, instead of working on an attitude adjust, police officers, are resigning. This situation sucks! How can a law enforcement officer be immune from the law?*
