I usually stay away from girl fights. This is because, after quarreling, women often reconcile. Women turn against guys who choose sides in their quarrels. Not to mention other females who also react negatively when they see a man involved in a girl fight. With SheTHER, Remy Ma destroyed Nicki Minaj, but she may have also delivered the beef to her, provided [if] Minaj responds with an equally sic diss track.

The seven-minute lyrical assault in SheTHER is probably just as lethal as Nas’s original song. Suffice it to say. Ma wasted some full bars on SheTHER by spitting over an uncleared instrumental. Although her move may have solidified “Ether” as an iconic diss song, she should have used an original beat. If Nicki comes up with something unique and spits bars, she’s in an excellent position to win this. Yet, she cannot take this W from Remy Ma.

Remy, an already respected emcee, needed to be collaborating with someone like Nicki Minaj. Especially now that she (Nicki) has no crew without Meek Mill or Safaree. In the Cash Money/Young Money camp, Lil Wayne, Drake, and Nicki Minaj are the three top artists. Drake has his crew, and Lil Wayne has his ring. Nicki Minaj should have teamed up with Remy Ma to form a squad. They could have established an iconic legacy for females in Hip Hop. Doing this would have opened more doors for the two.

By avoiding several kinds of beef, while claiming to be “the Queen of Hip Hop”…”

Strategically, Nicki Minaj showed signs of weakness, making her vulnerable to attack. When she was with Safaree, he actively contributed to her music. Cutting such a valuable asset lose and then turning against him was a bad mistake on her part (in my opinion). But, to her credit, she rebounded with Meek Mill, who was a respectable street emcee at that time, and he is also a respected lyricist.

Her (Nicki’s) other mistake is that she didn’t partake in the Meek Mill/Drake beef. Backing up her man would have established her loyalty and built her the reputation of a beast. This could have scared off anyone who was looking to dethrone her. By avoiding several kinds of beef while claiming to be “the Queen of Hip-Hop,” she became an easy mark for Remy Ma. Taking subliminal shots at Remy on a Gucci Maine song seemed like she was hiding.

In the Cash Money/Young Money camp Lil Wayne, Drake, and Nicki Minaj…”

In Nicki’s defense, she indisputably brought female emcees back into the game and held it down with high class, grace, and clout for some years. Doing that has earned her legendary status in Hip Hop. However, karma came for a pound of her flesh since she allegedly has a severe attitude problem, dumped Safaree (her long-term loyal boyfriend, songwriter, and influence), and did not back Meek Mill up in his career-damaging battle with Drake.

Nicki ensured that her ties to Drake were not savored by playing the fence. But will he write all her songs for free, or will he cash in massively? Her move was good for the Young Money camp, but it showed her weakness. She took those Ls with Meek and then tried to run away from a confrontation while taking subliminal shots and appearing to be on top of the game.*
