Wilfred 14 Hits / Written In Gold

I am proud to announce my following book after “Hiphop Kruzade” which is penned in the form of poetry under the title of “Written In Gold”. It will be published on March 16, 2016, as an eBook. As it’s customary to treat my fans with music to each book, the accompanying music for this project is “Wilfred 14 Hits”. It will be released digitally on January 16, 2016. The eBook will be available on iBooks, nook, Kindle, Barnes & Nobles, Baker and Taylor and other eBook outlets easily accessible with a smartphone, tablet or a computer.

The inspiration for the poems in this book came to me in Old English. However, the album is not a greatest hits album. It is a compilation of songs from my previous work. Some are in English and a few, in Krio. As I’m currently writing a new novel while arranging the production for “YWY”, this side step is sure to inspire you even more. The lyrics from “W14 Hits” will also be found in the eBook. I will be posting them on Facebook.

It started from reading Shakespeare plays at Christ the King College in Bo, Sierra Leone. Back then I sang and played the guitar with the youth group at our church, Praise Assembly of God, in New London. Pretty soon, I was inspired to write plays and draw comic figures. I fell deeply in love with literature and poetry. When Hip Hop exploded, it became the best platform for my craft.

Writing is like education, it’s a continuously evolving process. I have some materials which were written years ago that I have not published and I have ones that were written and published as recent as this year. My obsession with English Literature developed my style of storytelling which was influenced by personal experience, fantasy, lessons learned from pioneers, culture, activism and research. Little did I know, years later I would be an author.

My obsession with English Literature developed my style of storytelling which was influenced by personal experience, fantasy, lessons learned from pioneers, culture…”

With this book, I selected a few poems I had written over the years in Shakespearean English. My Shakespearean English was developed from studying the Bible, Shakespeare and the root of French words and phrases. To me, this book is less philosophical and more Literature even though it’s mostly poetry. Basically, this project talks about the fabrication and spreading of false information to encourage discrimination.

It hints at people who come up with assumptions based on their fears or blind faith in a dogma. Namely, the various fabricated conspiracy theories about the Illuminati and other secret societies with the allegation of human sacrifice, the occult, devil worship and Satanism in the entertainment industry. Most of these stories come from unreliable sources or people who were never in secret societies, who show vague proof of what they talk about. The poetry plays on those hearsay and religious diatribes. It is very subtle and indirect.

Not to be naive, “Written In Gold” does not deny what conspiracy theorists believe could be happening. It is who they claim is doing what they say is happening and the vague proof they show that I question. It does not deny that there are no occult and devil worshipers who may have their agenda for the world. Every religion has an agenda for the world. Christianity wants us all to follow Jesus Christ and Islam wants us to follow the teaching of the Prophet Mohamed.

At the least Buddhism teaches us to be in tune with our chi by maintaining a clean aura, open chakras, partaking in yoga and meditation etc. So, why would a pagan religion not have their agenda for the world? Every follower of a dogma must believe it to be right. Therefore, conspiracy theories may be right if there is tangible proof.

These widespread theories are blind in a faith that combines Satanism, witchcraft, Luciferian (all completely different) with the most known companies that are not linked to the dogmas of well-established religions.

“Written In Gold” hails ancient Egyptian mythology and culture as a significant part of the black heritage. Just like Greek, Romans, and Viking cultures are significant to European heritage so is ancient Egypt to blacks. Yet, there is a sharp contrast to the theories that cannot be simply generalized by citing scriptures that were addressed to the ancient Israelite. These poems mention the historical artifacts, art, knowledge and culture of ancient Egypt.

Regrettably, ancient Egyptian artifacts are now tainted as a platform for devil worship, occult, witchcraft or Satanism. These widespread theories are blind in a faith that combines Satanism, witchcraft, Luciferian (all completely different) with the most known companies that are not linked to the dogmas of well-established religions. “Writings gold” is a poetic interpretation of psychological freedom from myths that hold us in contempt of our history. *
