Women in Society

Women are not victims when they abide by their cultural and traditional beliefs.
There is no such thing as a secular state.

Women have never been looked low upon in our society at any time of its existence. Unless you define that look as keeping up with customs. And even at that, you will then have to consider the why. Why did the ancestors create those or that tradition is a question that we must answer. Every nation is founded on religious or spiritual belief. In the western hemisphere, our cultural and traditional beliefs are based on the premise of Christianity.

As for the Middle East, their cultural and traditional beliefs are based on Islam. In the eastern hemisphere, their cultural and traditional beliefs are based on Buddhism or Hinduism. Women are not victims when they abide by their cultural and traditional beliefs. There is no such thing as a secular state. That word is a hypercritical word used to disguise atheism. Am I against an atheist? Hell no! All society was based on the premise of religion.

Be it Judaism, Christianity, Islam, Buddhism or Hinduism, pending the region, one may be more dominant. This does not mean there are no atheists or, other religions do not exist in the minority. Freedom of religion does not say there isn’t a dominant religion in practice. That said, of course, there are cases of domestic, sexual or child abuse or even prejudice and inequality against women, based on cultural or religious beliefs.

Every community has their violation. If you look on the eastern side of the international community where Buddhism and Hinduism are dominant religions, you will observe that their systems are built on a structure of gender role. Does this mean women cannot do what men do? No! Women exist in almost every walk of life they choose. However, based on religion, culture, creed, and tradition, local women are willing to participate in their heritage.

Where our western systems proclaim a system of moderate religion in a hypocrite guise of circularity, the east do not see themselves as extremists…”

Most embrace their historic role with pride in the sense of community. This does not mean that they are less than men in the city. It merely means that they have a division of responsibilities. Don’t let anyone fool you! This is the same case in Israel where Judaism is the main religion. Just as Muslims are in the minority in the western hemisphere of the international community, so also, Christians are in the minority in the east. This is traditional.

Religious Values in the West

The difference is; in the west, we have replaced the respect for God with the authority of courts and governments, whereas, in the east and Middle East governments and courts are still under God. Where our western systems proclaim a system of moderate religion in a hypocrite guise of circularity, the east does not see themselves as extremists when they follow their devotion to the letter. Where the Vatican changes it’s dogma to embrace change; Islam, Judaism, Buddhist and Hinduism remain steadfast in the most authentic nature of their culture and religion.

Just because some of our most influential politicians happen to be atheists who wish to remove the Christian banner our countries once flew, it does not mean Islam, Buddhist, and Hindu nations want to do the same. For those countries, it is virtually impractical for atheists to become influential politicians. *
